Membership Rights and Oblications |

Members shall have the rights and shall be subject to the obligations stipulated in the Constitution of the Union. State MembersState Members shall be entitled to: - Participate in statutory meetings and all other activities of the Union
- Host any of the Union’s events
- Hold elected office in any of the organs of the Union consistent with such qualifying requirements as may be determined from time to time by the General Conference
- Nominate candidates for election as officials of the Union
- Exercise one vote at the General Conference and Executive Council
- Chair any standing or ad hoc working committee that maybe agreed upon by the General Conference or the Executive Council
Associate State MembersAssociate State Members shall be entitled to: - Participate in statutory meetings and all other activities of the Union
- Chair any standing or ad hoc working committee that maybe agreed upon by the General Conference or the Executive Council
- Host any of the CTU’s Events
Members in this category shall not however be able to: - Hold elected office in the General Conference and the Executive Council of the Union
- Nominate candidates for election as officials of the Union nor can they vote in the elections for such officers
Private Sector and Civil Society MembersPrivate Sector and Civil Society Members shall be entitled to: - Participate fully in the discussions on subjects before the Technical Conference, Policy Seminars and ad hoc or standing working committees of the Union subject only to any specific directions that maybe given by the General Conference
- Act as chairman and vice chairman of any ad hoc or standing working committee dealing with technical and telecommunication policy issues as agreed upon by the General Conference or the Executive Council
- Take part in the adoption of questions and recommendations and in decisions relating to the working methods and procedures of any such working committees
Members in this category shall not however be able to: - Participate in the Executive Council or General Conference of Ministers
- Hold office in the General Conference and the Executive Council of the Union
- Nominate persons for office in the Union nor can they vote in the elections for such officers
