On the 6th December, 2005, the CTU signed a cooperative agreement with the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organisations, (CANTO) and Caribbean Central American Action, (CCAA), to cooperate in carrying out a specifically designated programme, called the Joint Initiative which supports the initiative to establish the Caribbean Centre of Excellence (CCoE).

2006 Joint Initiative Activities

In 2006, the CTU, CANTO and CCAA will be cooperating to provide:-

Information Services: Databases of Caribbean ICT Statistics and a Directory of ICT Organisations.

Network of Caribbean Experts: A database of knowledgeable Caribbean ICT experts.

Caribbean Calendar of Events: A facility for stakeholders to advertise ICT events in the Caribbean.

Centre of Excellence Web Site: A Web-based facility through which the services of the Caribbean Centre of Excellence will be made available
